I know this may seem like a rehashing,
A topic that I've already covered,
It's just that I'm not quite understanding,
I'm just at my wit's end, really bothered.
Sometimes I wish I was wired the same
As most of society, that would help
Me to understand how to play this game,
How to not be tangled up, like in kelp,
With people who only value bodies
And who reduce people down to their parts,
People who can't help but act like babies,
When they want sex, but leave with broken hearts.
Don't understand why lonely equals sex,
Sad to say, it seems to be such a hex.
Always thought lonely equals hanging out,
Why do people only want intercourse,
Then cry when their hearts get broken, and pout?
They cry from no emotional discourse,
When they went only for someone's body,
Some get made fun of, they date to marry,
They just won't settle for anybody
That's how I am, I would like to marry,
It would be someone I can connect with,
I'm not settling like people do think,
And I'm not dating to get in their pants,
Not wired that way, that's not how I think,
Please stop making fun of the way we think,
When your happiness gets washed down the sink.
