Shield Maiden
a Valkyrie fighting for life
an indominable spirit
that still knows fear
thinking you're all alone
fighting demons on your own
wielding a sword with savagery and grace
in a battle lost many times before
tiring you seek Valhalla
to lay down the arms of war
Stay, on this earthly plain
that I might fight by your side
in this endless war for love
"I love you"
are just empty words
until we draw swords as one
and enter the battle hand in hand
with my last breath I am yours
if fall, I will fall with you
covered with scars, we fight on
Let us fight one last time
for love

The Long Ships set sail, oars by sinew and bone, seeking a promised land of gold and honey, seeking peace on the seas of fate. The warrior tiring lays down the sword, only to grasp the hilt once more, knowing that war is never done, finding in the end, that the end is just a new beginning, finding on oceans deep, Valhalla never sleeps.

I love the aesthetic and visual…
I know the feeling of being a Valkyrie.
Always fighting for my sanity, people I love, life, death, passion… everything.
The spirit pushing the body forward.
Those memories unforgiven can definitely haunt us.
Even the darkest sins become confusing. Become needed again.
Always feeling alone… counting them.
The demons always trying to take my soul.
And it always seems like a losing battle.
Valhalla is out of sight too… Only Hell.
To have someone to fight by your side is something truly incredible.
But love can be an empty word, or it can come with many chains.
Jealousy, possessiveness, among other things.
But I will draw my sword and fight for it.
“I will fall with you” is so beautiful.
That’s how it should be in love...
