The Clock is Ticking
The clock is ticking some would say
To end the night and bring the day
To forget the toys behind the dust
And leave the thoughts of you to rust
The rain is falling on your grave
The thoughts of you I cannot save
Are washed away like fallen leaves
And swept amongst the the autumn reeds
The clock is ticking and day must fade
Into the night and through the shade
But do not fret to see me go
We'll meet again in winter's snow
To end the night and bring the day
To forget the toys behind the dust
And leave the thoughts of you to rust
The rain is falling on your grave
The thoughts of you I cannot save
Are washed away like fallen leaves
And swept amongst the the autumn reeds
The clock is ticking and day must fade
Into the night and through the shade
But do not fret to see me go
We'll meet again in winter's snow
