Image for the poem Wearing Your Skin

Wearing Your Skin

Not labeled a saint
or even apprentice
with bags under my eyes
wearing your skin

covered with scars
with a dab of Maybelline
and a double chin
with talcum taking a powder

as an apostle of twilight
tasting the sweetness
of twilight's entrails
as my mind plays catch up

just a toad's wart
in Hambone Alley
neat the moon's Psoriasis
chasing fur balls

promoting my conscience
to be your enigma
with bags under my eyes
wearing your skin

with talcum taking a powder
and screams get louder
welcoming you to my chowder
on our swinging glider
