On The Eve, Of The Eve, Of Halloween

Within the park
By the old bowling green
Within the Pavilion, hanging loose
Are tombstones lurking, ready for use
Witches, and bats
Ghosts, and ghouls
And pumpkin cats
And characters
That create this fright
Can be found laughing
And cackling with delight
For they are creating
The magic to be seen
Using their artistic skills
As they prepare, for Halloween
There will arts, and crafts
And theatrical displays
Connections with nature
In a myriad ways
Falconry, apple bobbing
And a competition for those in fancy dress
Willow craft activities
And magic spells
All to impress
So come along
During half term week
Enjoy the arts, and activities
And try not to squeak!
