The Lost Storm

Tears of despair leave a forlorn face
Each drop filled with a memory of broken dreams

Overhead a single cloud seems to loom
It follows me wherever I wander
It's as if the storm is tied to me

We sat in a field that felt like home,
empty
My tears fell once more, and the storm sobbed as well
Before I knew it, roses encompassed me

Black roses is what they were
I know how they felt
Unnatural, no color.......ugly

The storm and I are one in the same
Both searching
Both lost

Author's Note
We have all felt like this at one point. I recently had a conversation with a friend, the way he spoke moved me. Enough that I had to turn his feelings into a poem. The purpose of this poem is to be relatable, hopefully I accomplished that. All feedback is welcome.
