When I'm alone I think a lot. Of myself, things I've done, and things I want to do. Every so often, I see grim thoughts and think dark things. They are fleeting. I know who I am. It makes a person wonder though......do we really know ourselves?

In deep meditative states, we're able to reach thoughts at higher levels. It's something I'd love to do whenever I visit a Buddhist temple which helps concentrate on those deeper level questions.
