This was an intriguing little piece. The first line in reference to Sisters made me think of a woman’s place in the world. This kind of leads back to the title for me — that they are the latitude of longitude — the way.
“her postcards like blossoms from orchards” sounds like all of the wisdom they are carrying in the world.
Anyway, that’s just where the piece took me in my mind. And I have to say, I enjoyed it for the interpretation in my own mind over all.
I’d argue that “I’ve bared witness” sounds a little clunky grammar wise… I think I would have maybe opted for “I’ve bore witness” which feels a little smoother for the past tense. Just in the spirit of honest critique.
