Sky Gazer
if I rode around this town
hit the ground
I know you’ll be right there
if I made all the same mistakes
I would still feel that kiss on my cheek
the one who forces me out of bed
fought for me when I was filled with regret
showed me what it meant to love
and showed me what it meant to not give a fuck
I met some pretty girls along the way
but they all might as well been Barbie dolls
little boxes, little boxes
all the same
it’s a big bad world
and I’m a big bad wolf
but I never had to call you out of home
because your truth has always been your word
just tell me how
and tell me when
when to kill and when to sin
would be hard to know what's right
if I didn’t have you by my side
I love you, my little sky gazer
your eyes they sparkle with the moon and stars
maybe one day I’ll see you there
where we can live without a care
