I Can Look

I CAN LOOK

I can look but I cannot touch.
If I do my hands pass through
like a warm ray of sunshine to a cloud.

I can have my appetite
but if I do I will not be fed
like a dog being tossed a rubber bone.

I can hear her lovely song,
her sweetest voice,
delicious laugh.
I can lust her kiss.
I am a sailor lost at sea.

I can fantasize my dreams,
all of my wants,
burning desires
but if I do I only face reality.

I should be grateful for this much,
that I can look but cannot touch,
looks like the rhyming's finally showing up for me!

And I can have these silly dreams,
all I shall have so it seems,
the cards have shown it is the way it is to be.
