The Siren's Song

The Siren's Song

Lashed upon
The mast
Through song
Ulysses listened clear,

And forbidding
Rocks to thrash
His ship made
Distance dear.

Now not seduced
To foul her bow
His crew alive
Remained;

It took instead
Stout ropes to keep
His heart
So fully trained.
