whisper room
in my whisper room,
i talk to God alone;
sometimes i know not what to say,
i bow my head and groan.
being all alone
with One so powerful,
i quake to know an Awesome God
can be so wonderful.
for He speaks to me
of seasons yet to come
when, after all this life is done,
He’ll come and take me Home.
“occupy until
I send the latter rain,
when ripe the harvest, that My barns
may burst forth with new grain!”
in my whisper room,
God talks to me alone;
scarce can i comprehend why Christ
should all my sins atone.
but i trust His Grace,
His Mercy, and His Love;
nor shall i ever let Him go,
till Heaven’s Gate i prove.
