I too, love wild flowers, AJ... Who can't help but smile when coming across randomly growing beauty!? ;) They're definitely some of my favorites, as well. I'm partial to roses because I am one (yes, it's true!) and they've always held special meaning in my life from the time that I was a child until this moment all these years later, for some reason or another they've accented my 'story'...So I guess the  metaphoric use is perhaps a bit autobiographical too...

Thank you for sharing your thoughts with me, I am always so grateful to get other perspectives.

I very much enjoyed the beautiful poem as well as the information about the rose. That was extremely interesting. I’ve never actually seen a blue rose, nor heard of one. What a process.

I have only recently come to be aware of them and understand their origins... they're truly gorgeous.
I really like the fact that they're pretty much unable to become sky blue (unless dyed) and that they become this beautiful mauve-ish color, which maintains this allure for me.

Those roses within the picture are very classic violet, but, that information on that blue rose is helpful. Thy words of this senryu brings about piece and joy to me as my eyes ah captivate the words I over and over ah read.🌷🍑🌈🤜🤛👁️🛳️🤍💙🍜🧅🧅🥦🥦💎🎶🤎🤭🛌
