I wonder how you looked me in my eyes
And had the courage to call me baby
Knowing you would break my heart
I wonder how you let me write you those poems
And sing you songs
And say im all your
In those 6 days before you broke it off.
Thinking back on it
For someone who said they cared about me
You couldnt be so damn selfish
Or no, thats not the word im looking for
The word im looking for is cruel.

He may have been frightened of breaking your heart & took the coward's way out like I did. I dumped my last girlfriend by text but I waited until the new year. She wanted a face-to-face dumping but what's the point of watching your partner cry as you break her heart? In my defence (if you can call it that) I met her twice more (in person) after I dumped her by text, so what does that tell you?
