The White Finch and Crocus

Oh hello there, tender little flower, so beautiful and bright,
we have much in common, you and I, we both love in the light.
Your petals, my dress, we both look great in white,
short yet proud, we both stand at the same height,
prudent and shy, we both hide at night,
gentle and kind, we both never fight.
Don’t forget about me, when I’m out of sight,
it is late now and I must take flight.

Author's Note
Thought I'd do something different and light hearted for my second poem here! Some appreciation for flowers from the perspective of a bird
