You say, I shut you out
Never let you in.
Never share with you how I truly feel
Never include you in my thoughts and dreams
But in truth. When I needed you, you never listened
Never took be seriously.

Yes. Maybe it's my fault
I'm always playing around,
Always fooling around
Maybe even to a childish point.
Yet, you foolishly assumed I never felt anything
That I never get hurt

I always give you a shoulder,
You gave me a cold one in turn.
Gave you my time,
But I was just a disturbance when I needed you to lend an ear.
I guess being there for someone, does not guarantee you they'll be there when you need them.
I've said my sorry, here's your turn.
Believe me, I don't assume you don't care
I just realized you care a bit more when it benefits you instead.


So when you see me suffer in silence,
When you see me take all my pain to the grave,
When you see me sacrifice everything and never ask for anything in turn
Just know when I did, you simply never cared.

And always be there
