I wonder…
I’m pretty certain that you care
You always have; it’s in your nature
What I am much less sure of is:
Would you want me as a lover?
Do you crave my body too?
Does my passion and desire
Drive you away?
Or ignite a fire?
Would we feel that magnetic pull
As before?
Yes, I believe that you still love me
In at least 1 of its many forms
But I fear you do not love me
In the way that I love you.
So I wonder, are my thoughts of you
A weight around your neck
As you try to swim
to a different shore?
I don’t want to make you drown!!!
