Borrowed time

Someday you will read my words
In a whole different light.  
You'll see another truth inside
Each poem that I write.
You'll think back on today
And all the days before.  
You won't see things from my side,
But you'll see a whole lot more.
You'll find my words as a domino
Tracing our whole life story,
From start to finish,
you will see its guts and glory.  
Yes, i was shameless
With every word I wrote.  
No matter how it made us look
No matter how much it made me hurt.  
I hope I'm still around
When that day arrives,
Because tomorrow is not promised
And I'm on borrowed time.
