Taming the Dragon
Sharpen my wit and silence my reasoning
for tonight i must be a beast.
Guide my hand and strengthen my will
as i face what torments i must.
This shield and sword comfort my judgement,
though my helmet hinders my sight.
The scales of fate are of shimmering green;
so elegantly shimmering.
I look into the watery eye of the creature,
in its reflection i see not myself,
but you.
It will always be you.
I discard my weapons and shed my armour.
With acknowledgment i beckon
the torture of your flames.
for tonight i must be a beast.
Guide my hand and strengthen my will
as i face what torments i must.
This shield and sword comfort my judgement,
though my helmet hinders my sight.
The scales of fate are of shimmering green;
so elegantly shimmering.
I look into the watery eye of the creature,
in its reflection i see not myself,
but you.
It will always be you.
I discard my weapons and shed my armour.
With acknowledgment i beckon
the torture of your flames.
