wearing a veil
setting sail
on humanity's homogenous seas
life in denial
ruled by a sundial
screaming behind our smiles
dehumanizing
bile rising
desperately despising
this is not the way
viewing our lives with dismay
co-existing
stomach twisting
dreams persisting
for something so much more
an open door
and a life filled with love
falling into a trance
with just a glance
one last chance
to see if we have a soul
losing control
why is it so hard to say
these simple words
