Lovely
I feel the most beautiful after a good cry.
When my eyes are all red and the skin surrounding them puffy.
I think that the hives I get across my cheeks make me look more alive then I feel most of the time.
I don't love myself the same after a shower, or after I do my makeup and hair for work. I used to love wearing my makeup...
I wish that I could love myself in my brightest moments, but it feels like a mask covering up the pain I'm really feeling.
I'm sad a lot, but at least I feel beautiful when I cry.

The honesty within this line.....I wish I could luv myself in my brightest moments, but, it feels like a mask covering up the pain I'm really feeling.......is so got damn bone chilling threw eye reading. If I didn't conversate with mine like I do, U'd put me to start with that right then. Excellent poem!

Now this is quite a sad state of affairs. This shouldn't be the case.
No one should be happy when they are at their weakest and most vulnerable moments sobbing in a sea of tears.
Granted crying is therapeutic but when the issues stay unresolved crying on its own just isn't enough.
There has to be better ways of finding the best side of yourself that is without the necessity of tears.
People have all sorts of outlets of de-stressing whether it be poetry, music, movies, nature, massage and so on.
Then there are those among us who still need to embrace that softer side that just lets go and let the salty waters flow.
