The better place

My neighbors, so quiet
under the earth
everyone to themselves
not a single voice heard-
except for relitives
that bow their heads low
no tears please;
as you know
my mind's at peace
can you remember
when i was alive?
last december
life full of strife
pain and pity
but now i sleep
under the city.

I love the flowers you bring
my living soul never touched, life
but too alone i died
to no children- never a wife
and the dark secret love
that never knew, we were ment to be
maybe life was worth living
but now i see
my misery loves mourner's company
someday you'll join me
when your time is near
but not as i used to know you
and i'm your only fear
because i wouldn't look like me
at all
time's not on our side , my dear!

I could always haunt you
but i'll catch up on my rest
with no one to bother me-
no need to look my best
my hater's can choke
on the ashes, when i turn to dust
i wouldn't hurt
as far as i couldn't trust
you should of been there
so take one last look of my rotten face
cry your last tears
when i'm in a better place!
