The Sting
Her laughter
Was pained
I saw her face
The forced smile
Her eyes
Were moist
And held the truth
As did her hands
Tightly clasped together
Over loosely peeled skin
Her laugh
Deceived no-one
Not even herself
Then came the tears
She eventually cursed
She should of known better
Than to rub her eyes
Just after peeling onions
