Moments to Come
Would you believe me
If I told you about my
personal history
If I showed you a side to me
Which only a few get to see
Those moments that are like
A cold winters day
When any glimmer of sunlight
Is a delight to the soul
Could my words be
like that first sip of tea
Warming you up slightly
Would you in believe me
If I told you my dreams
Unfiltered as is
Not fitting the status quo
Would you believe in me
As I strive towards
Especially on the days
When no ground is broken into
Would you believe me
When I say I love you
Not on the days that are sweet
But on those days
in which you feel a little down
On those days
When you can't hide your frown
Would you believe me
If I said I'd always be there
Despite the number of let downs
You may have encountered before me
Would I believe you
If the roles were revered
Trusting you as I trust myself
Who knows really
Because at the end of the day
Love is one thing
And Belief is another
If I told you about my
personal history
If I showed you a side to me
Which only a few get to see
Those moments that are like
A cold winters day
When any glimmer of sunlight
Is a delight to the soul
Could my words be
like that first sip of tea
Warming you up slightly
Would you in believe me
If I told you my dreams
Unfiltered as is
Not fitting the status quo
Would you believe in me
As I strive towards
Especially on the days
When no ground is broken into
Would you believe me
When I say I love you
Not on the days that are sweet
But on those days
in which you feel a little down
On those days
When you can't hide your frown
Would you believe me
If I said I'd always be there
