Asphalt

Lying here with my left cheek to the asphalt,
Shards of blue metal anchored into my skin
Fractured jaw bleeding and I can see the red turn dark purple as it seeps into the road , watching as the blood changes into a dark stain
The traffic has come to a stop and the commuters sit behind the wheel honking , No body gets out to help
No body is concerned
Everyone just sits in annoyance because I have made them late to their grave digging duty's
Their patience is wearing thin so they figure they will just drive around me , some even decide to run me over,
Motionless I lye
Inside I cry
No body is going to help me off this asphalt
I'll take one of the passer-bys advice
I'll get out of the middle of the road
Just give me another 15mins , this is the most rest I have had in years ....
