Saying Grace

 
This isn’t God’s land
But they just up and stole it
They put the gun on the native’s face
And then told them now they own it

They called it the promised land
But it wasn’t milk and honey
Spilled blood to get coal and oil
Raped her and then made more money

Now they claimed it was heaven sent
As it was divine and holy
Crimes disappeared from history books
Cus’ they don’t like tell the story wholly

They scream to come and get it
Thinking that they reign supreme
But they just go further down the hole
Into that whole role radically extreme

They proclaim they love God
But then spit on the stranger’s face
Flipping scripture is part of their facade
It’s like shouting fuck you while saying grace
