Elemental Layers
Beneath the onion skin
Are ancient sins
Ancestors permit to win.
Dip the fear in hopes bin
Where children make din
Skinning their knees and shins.
Somehow we let it sink in,
Into abyss of yearning begins
The peelings to become whole again.
