Enough is enough
Glad to get it
Off my chest.
For a long time
Under the pile and with not much
Craving for bits and crumbs
Kicking bricks and dust in anger
Yearning for some recognition but always
Out of the winner's circle
Under the heels of the rich
Resigned to my fate
Succombing to the vagaries of Time
Exiting the race
Leaving the madness behind
Verily making my peace
Ending it with those poisonous friendships and
Selecting new ways to a new freedom.
Off my chest.

I like this. It's sad it has to be this way in the truth it says but it is the truth. Take care of you and those who truly do care about you, focus on your "close circle" of true loved ones. I gave up on the rat race and people pleasing, etc...it's a huge weight off your chest once you finally do. I feel better anyway.

It's a cleansing of the mind and soul, getting rid of the toxic things that impede us to live out truly happy lives.
