Listen To The Longing Within

My shadow and I walk toward the twilight.
Vespers casts a yearning upon my heart.

Absence of solace won’t allow me my sleep.
I'm wired and wide awake on this damp dreary night.

The clouds overhead are heavy, hovering between horizon and hope.
I am ever aware of the silent grandeur seeping from my mind.

I turn to face the darkness within myself.
The echo of my ego taunts me.

I shouldn’t question intuition or insight when a particular stimulus passes through my intellect.
I remember the hollow cavern of my own deception.

The integrity of your living inheritance is vital.
Reach for the pinnacle and touch the sky.

Then meet me back inside my poetry to seek that which is unconventional.
The channel is open.

I have another poem to pass on to the future.
It was living before as part of a perceived reality.

When time is done it will end with everlasting truth.
In the coming eternity I will dance in the sovereign light.
