Excogitative Ignis Fatuus
You entered my daily space
without my consent
Yet, I let You for a reason
I tried to lament
as I wanted to live out my
life alone.
You said no more love
for Your husband
just died.
I said I gave up on love
But secretly, I lied.
Our Friendship I’ve decided
is worth way more
more than foolish pheromonal
desires and so,
I pray You keep me close
and honor our growth
in strength arms’ length
paints of solid hues
Flat Black & Whites.
