Sometimes
You have to hold on tight
To get along
To make it through
To make things right
You need to know
Which way the wind is blowing
And keep your head up
To see the opportunities
When they arise
Pick your friends with care
And hold their hands and hearts
Be true to them
Through all the thick and thin of life
And learn to be weak
And be strong
And know which is needed
And when
But don't cling too tight
And don't need too much
Or your heart will be too easily
Broken by love
This whole life
Is an experiment in balance
And sometimes you need
To let things go
