Just sit right back and you'll hear a tail
A tale of a fateful slip
That started from a catastrophic snort followed by a few tiny hits
The fate from the mighty hater's plan Turned everybody into whores
Player's began to try it only once
They'll come back for more
They'll always come back for more
Their endeavors started getting rough
An endless search to get the sh*t at all cost
Discouraging second thoughts on what they thought they knew
Before that line was crossed before that line they crossed
The slip's gone down the next trip in-store is when sent to be getting pinned in
Never-will-they-feel-again
Becoming untrue through and through
No one really cares
They just wanna get high
Their moves leave scars
Becoming less of a man
Giving lesser a damn
here
When losing your will-again Defiles

Addictions can be very powerful and come in so many forms. I actually wrote one I called My Addictions I never posted perhaps I can find it. The wrong kinds can definitely leave deep scars that can follow you relentlessly, taunting and tempting. I hope if you are fighting the kind that are very destructive that you can find other addictions to replace that. Whether it be a hobby, sex, or whatever. :)

Well God Bless you. Yeah you hit the nail on the head there. No pun intended. It's messed up how society has kinda brainwashed people into thinking it's a nearly impossible obstacle to overcome. Remember reefer madness propaganda of all things that may be addictive pot sure isn't one of them. Addiction is hell I don't dispute that and as for finding a safe anti-drug to replace serious addictions is an absolute must for recovery to happen. Thanks for your insight and for the reminder. Becoming complacent can be a real killer. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

Well thanks it really was. My dad and a couple of my brothers had alcohol issues so I was the stoner of the bunch but they been clean 10 + years. I liked drinking makes me cheerful I get like an adverse reaction so high tolerance it's like a stimulant so when I was younger we'd binge drink my buddy's be passing out and I'd be blacking out I never could pass out I was the self designated drunk driver and safest had a few minor incidences but no jail or DWIs or bad wrecks I seldom ever drink now and never drive if I do weed was my deal but not everyday like I used to. But our dad was old School he didn't have to tell us boys not to smoke pot I mean we just knew we figured out what to do and what not to do and how to act and if we didn't know well the next time we knew. Lol older kids pass the j we'd say no thanks that stuff can kill you they like man it ain't harmful oh yes it is around my house cuz my dad will kill us if he catches us smoking lol but he sure liked cold beer my dad was the toughest hardest working and sometimes meanest sob I've ever met and He never caught me smoking pot I made damn sure of that. Lol
