She hesitates
Just
Slightly,

And wants
To call
Tonight,

She's only in
For just
A taste

And doesn't
Need
A bite.

If she calls
And no one's
Home

Or no one
Answers
Then

What to do
Is far
From through

And where
Will that
Leave when?

Just to hear
His voice
Disrupt

The silence
In
The air,

That for sure
Would be
Enough

To really
Take her
There.

Please don't let
The phone
Just ring,

Her finger's
On
The dial,

And when
He answers
This she swears

The flames
Will burn
A while.

One,
Then two,
And on the third,

His voice
Becomes
A home,

A gasp,
A moan,
Volcanic foam,

That spark
Was really
All,

And then
There was
That tone.

That was all
It took,
A call,

As much
As she
Could spare.

That was all
It took
For her,

Just that....
To take
Her there.
