There was no time for pausing
No time for thought or prayer
My body ceased to be my own
When we became a pair
My edges blurred and melted through
Each time you touched my hand
Desires both pure and timeless
I gave more than I’d planned
You took all that I had to give
I loved your every touch
I gave my self too easily
I loved your love too much

Author's Note
My daughter wrote this about her recent heartbreak. I saw parallels with my own life experiences. She asked to include a photo she took of herself looking out her bedroom window. I said yes as long as she blurred it. She's proud of her body, and I think that's a healthy as long as she's careful about what she shares.

To go through heartbreak but still be proud of your body - may she find someone worthy to share it with. It is worse to be heartbroken and left with poor view of oneself.

I do hope she finds men worthy of her in the course of her life. I'm proud of her for how she's dealt with disappointment.
Rereading this poem, the phrase 'my edges blurred' seem symbolised in the blurring in the picture.

I must confess that your daughter is a precious gem to be served, loved and cared. I feel sorry for her. She still have the strong feelings to put her heart-break in words and live with it. I admire her words that reflect her connotation. Say hello to her.

I still love this. I noticed it as one of my likes and enjoyed reading it all over again. So sorry to lose mother but thankful that daughter's life and writing continues.
