Tainted Love
Why can't I write
Of loving feelings
Of words soft and tender
Words that make you swoon
That fill you up with wonder
Why can't I write
Of loving in its simplist form
That gives you
That warm fuzzy aura
Is it because I've never felt it
Never known its embrace
Is it because I like the harder side
Where love is shown
By how many whip marks
Leave their red trail
Across my broken skin
I can easily see the love
Other people can write about
Their words of love
I can feel their honesty
Their truth shines true
But why can't I
How is it so hard for me
To write of this warm cuddly love
"this tainted love" of mine
Has it beaten away that gentle love
Am I lost forever
In these chains of love
Why can't I write

I think you just did write a whole poem of love feelings. I’m convinced of it at any rate. I think some of us have a different approach to expression than others whereby it seems easier for them to spill all sorts of love emotions. If we asked them if it’s easy for them to write about love
they might say nope. I really appreciated the honesty and raw emotion of love in this write. H🌷

I feel like I'm missing something or the way I write of love is always twisted.
Has it to do with how I look at life or how I grew up, it wasn't ever soft or easy, and I've been drawn to the darker side of life I think.
I don't know how it should be, maybe I've always been lost
Like you said, it's raw, I feel like Johnny Cash, "I walk the line",
Thats how I've felt growing up, most of it was on the wrong side I think.
