A boy is told to bathe
The pail of water is bath,
but the dipper, ah,
that is a reusable
Falcon 9 rocket,
he holds it, still,
at the bottom of the pail,
and starts the countdown,
pulls the dipper
out of the water,
bottom upwards,
a stirring moment.
Hand provides thrust,
water is the fire
pushing earth away,
the naked boy stands,
in the slow motion of a rocket,
he makes the dipper tremble
as it rises, as rockets do
in the throes of launch,
he whispers a swoosh,
boy blasts into space.
