Mirror accepting you
Mirror , standing , being
a window to your reflection
she Stands , almost colourless
as if like some sort of breeze
is waiting for you to stand before her
water , she’s reflective and lacking in colour
strong as a brick
she’s loving and accepting
unable to push you away
and tell you ‘ no , your not ok ‘
she won’t shout at you
frown at you
criticise that which you show to her
no , she just stands
a window to your world
accepts the stand you take
the picture you show
with a tender acceptance
you can take a look in the mirror as you wish
she will never shout at you
frown at you
tell you that your not ok
maybe your tired
maybe your sad
and she can see it in your eyes
but she just accepts
never turns you away
like someone closing a door and telling you to please go away
no , she just stands
like reflective water
a segment of an ocean
without the seaweed and fishes
and the maybe murky patches of sand
accepts you
although there are no roses given to you through the mirror
she doesn’t push you away
shout and tell you your not ok
simply accepts
she’s a place for you to look if you wish
but you can step away if stirred to tears
you can walk away from the reflective accepting water
and she will never tell you to stay
a mirror , she’s there
sometimes we like her
sometimes we love her
when we like what we see
other times we have the wish to stay away
but always there
she’s like reflective water
showing you everything
a window to your reflection
she Stands , almost colourless
as if like some sort of breeze
is waiting for you to stand before her
water , she’s reflective and lacking in colour
strong as a brick
