ghost rain
shadows interpreted as nothing but dust
are the memories I've kept
sadness quelled and lost in my quiet places
they haunt my thoughts
the times I've failed you
I let me down too
melancholy within
for the little beings of belief
who held me dear
I broke your trust
misfits of my heart
may I lay your ghosts to rest
forgiving is a part of giving
you left a part of yourselves I will never forget

good morning dearest Wally my children are all grown up now but one of them is dying due to liver cancer from drinking... often while I am awaiting sleep their childhood faces will appear I think about times I could have done better for them well that's it a lot of people probably misread this poem but you understood it thank you ❤️

I can't begin to imagine the worry and hurt you are currently going through. Watching our children suffer is the most hurtful thing anyone, especially a parent can bear.
. Reflecting on what we could have done better or the path we could have chosen always leads to more what if's. My thoughts are with you and you son/daughter
