beauty spoke on the night,
he spoke of dreams...

tears like diamonds were pressed in the sky
shining down upon us alike
you all the way across the world
still, I could feel your ache as I reach for you

the emptiness of the moment stood between us
and I knew I love you
I also knew I'd known you somewhere before

how do you miss a stranger?

how does your body long?

it's the words I didn't say
the words I wouldn't say
that cut my soul in the keeping

shaded secrets and you knew I was holding them back
fate separate us and it would never be right
it allow us only glimpses of could have been

tonight, I hold back my hurt
my tears are proof enough

are they shining down where you are?
