I loved you for a handful of moments
A fragrance of heaven shot straight through me
Like an arrow sharpened with adoration
My eyes consulted with my heart
Faster than light
Totally motionless
They agreed
My eyes had fallen upon
A raven haired marvel
With eyes of penetrating midnight blue
Pale skin dressed with a few freckles
A curvaceous form that was
Born of love and
Born to love
From the back seats of my mind
I juggled her
Snapped her in half
Broke every inch of her
Then rebuilt her heart with soothing kisses
And repaired her soul with loving caresses
She was aware of who she was but
She still assumed the world was full
Of smiles and very friendly men
As we walk our separate ways
My conscience whispers goodbye
I loved you for a handful of moments
And you never even noticed me
Like an arrow sharpened with adoration
My eyes consulted with my heart
Faster than light
Totally motionless
They agreed
My eyes had fallen upon
A raven haired marvel
With eyes of penetrating midnight blue
Pale skin dressed with a few freckles
A curvaceous form that was
Born of love and
Born to love
From the back seats of my mind
I juggled her
Snapped her in half
Broke every inch of her
Then rebuilt her heart with soothing kisses
And repaired her soul with loving caresses
She was aware of who she was but
She still assumed the world was full
Of smiles and very friendly men
As we walk our separate ways
My conscience whispers goodbye
I loved you for a handful of moments
And you never even noticed me
