My Fading Reflection
Around my thirteenth year
My reflection started to fade.
Diagnosed with psychosis
Was hard to bear.
I remember my old reflection,
I had a definite identity.
Stolen it was by what,
I know not.
With my old self gone in the mirror,
My sense of happiness has vanished.
Was it a demon? A curse?
The ghosts of the past haunt me,
As I am a shadow of my former self,
Lost in darkness.
My reflection started to fade.
Diagnosed with psychosis
Was hard to bear.
I remember my old reflection,
I had a definite identity.
Stolen it was by what,
I know not.
With my old self gone in the mirror,
My sense of happiness has vanished.
Was it a demon? A curse?
The ghosts of the past haunt me,
As I am a shadow of my former self,
Lost in darkness.
