Amidst the chaos of the world
     She struggles to find her way
      Trying to find some happiness
      While her hopes are washed away

Many who have looked upon her
      Have had no way of knowing
      That smile she forces on her face
      Is to keep her true pain from showing

As she pretends all’s well
      Her heart is silently breaking
      And everyone is oblivious
      The toll her body is taking

Nothing is as it seems anymore
      She feels like she never mattered
      All her ambition has been destroyed
      All her dreams have been shattered

Desperately, she sought answers
      But only more questions were found
      More sleepless evenings
      And more tears falling to the ground

All she can bring herself to do
      Is drop to her knees and cry
      To scared to face another tomorrow
      And too scared to die
