Dreams, for me, are a nightly, strange, low-key horrorscape*.
I'm not really sure what I feel about the blank leaf at the beginning of the book, but the blank one at the end says the story is not yet finished, and I take some comfort in that.

Your words are left ringing in my ears... 'When I forget myself'... and dreams, that's normally where I'm lost and free from the, sometimes excruciating, daily grind of being me... Your poem has a more specific underlying meaning, I'm sure but that's what struck me... deeply.
Are those blank pages a sort of symbolism for having a clean slate?... Starting from scratch maybe?... I'm uncouth and always assumed it was just decorational custom ... lol.... 🤷♀️...
