Nasty
He liked to buy small plants,
Greens that, taken care of
Grow formidably and last for years.
Shopping one day
This particular plant caught his eyes
Ok, it was a bit bigger than his usual buy
But gracious looks and developping bulbs.
A Congogatilius Carnivoraticus.
In small scipt under the name plate it said
Insert small bits of dry food in its soil,
Add a dash of water and watch it grow.
It grew fine in the light of day
Grew as tall as he was, really
And in the darkness of night
Grew even more rapidly
Every day, its crooked leaves
Of red and yellowish green
Looking more and more like dragon lips.
He should have paid more attention
To the tiny care notice on the plant's
Descripive page on the internet
Something about its poisonous sting.
So one day, while in his sleep,
The long reach of the leaves got to him
Poisoned him, killed him,
And those giant leaves ate him alive.
Greens that, taken care of
Grow formidably and last for years.
