Gone
The chain grows heavy
Emasculated against…
The coming dawn
The coming day
The coming future
An end, a stone that no longer rolls
Stagnant, no ripples, no more
Eyes growing dim
Scared to move
A feeling lost, a touch gone
The dark closes in, around
No pennies for the ferryman
Wrapping the blanket tight
To fight off the cold
The alone
The tears that no longer flow
Emotion no longer in motion
Emotion no longer felt
In these arms
In his thoughts
A life over
Gone
Emasculated against…
The coming dawn
The coming day
The coming future
An end, a stone that no longer rolls
Stagnant, no ripples, no more
Eyes growing dim
Scared to move
A feeling lost, a touch gone
The dark closes in, around
No pennies for the ferryman
Wrapping the blanket tight
To fight off the cold
The alone
The tears that no longer flow
Emotion no longer in motion
Emotion no longer felt
In these arms
In his thoughts
A life over
Gone
