sorrow is mine
peak and then descend
sorrow is mine
in my chambers kept
lest I forget the woman I am
in the sacred arts knowledgeable
fine tuning my instrument
my soul a place of refinement
sadness flavors it so well
melancholy epiphanies write me love letters
humility teaches me wisdom
reflected in the gaze of others
my heart and morals
if I fail a soul, I keen inside until I make it right
my being heavy
I wear a crown of hurt
I let my sisters and brothers down too often
forgetting they are reflections,
of the face of my maker
Author's Note
I am not a religious person I ascribe to no organized religion I do however believe there is one who created us I hear him in my mind... sometimes I can really dislike a person or their treatment of me... he then reminds me that is one of his own children who bear the likeness of his own personality perhaps even reflecting his own feelings towards me...
All writing remains the property of the author. Don't use it for any purpose without their permission.

thank you dearest Stoney I was just looking at someone one day and told our creator I don't like him... he then told me that person was a refection in part of himself our creator...parts of him reflected in the faces of our brothers and sisters...

So true indeed for who are we to judge another human being for we all have imperfections that sometimes we don't see in ourselves

That last ending stanza was a boom!!
Loved it. I get where you are coming from with this write.
Also enjoyed your authors note.
It is hard for me to forgive when I feel I've been wronged.
I go to war for people I genuinely care about. So when it
is not reciprocated I get hurt - then swiftly move on.
Sadness is part of the human condition.
This poem fed me in a way. Validation that I am not alone in my feelings.
Awesome:)

thank you most graciously beautiful Adelphina it was revealed to me when I told our creator I didn't like someone that they are at times reflections of parts of his own personality which gave me pause to consider and take another look at some of the people I dislike... I deeply appreciate your insightful comment❤

When I read your work I often have the feeling that you are both:
Within and beyond the work.
Which makes for such an interesting experience.
There is much that is thought provoking in this piece, Crimsin.

hello dearest Cipher this an odd thought I have sometimes... sometimes I think it is possible to manifest yourself in more that one person say perhaps globally or even in the vast universes of course the root of you would be in one place perhaps a hidden place... just my strange thinking... thank you for your most interesting thoughts❤

I think its geared to teens, maybe?
But I find inspiration in a vast array of places.

"humility teaches me wisdom" that's a powerful line. It really permeates our entire being so as to comprehend others. This world is ass backwards as of late, but finding those who speak truthful wise words does require humility.
Outstanding spill.
