A Reason

My mom,
She had a vision

Of me,

Wearing a smart suit,
Stepping foot

Down the steps
Of a

Jet.

Jet stream skies
Across my eyes,

Sometimes,

I have traveled
So many places

In

My

Mind,

Out of space
&
Time.

Time
&
Time

Again,

I was
Out of my mind.

Every madness
I have

Known.

And yet,

I only kind of wonder,
Sometimes;

Only sometimes do I ponder
Perhaps,
Why I am alive,

Every once in a blue season.

However,

I sometimes suspect I might
Be here

For a reason:

Here’s to a reason.

Author's Note
My mom told me she had a vision of me, in a smart suit, stepping foot off a jet plane.

She said I would be given back everything that was taken from me, in a compounded state.

You know what's strange?

Getting everything when you want nothing.

Not that I want nothing, although this is not too far from my state of being.

But I feel like I am not materialistic.

But I enjoy the game between people, you know.

Nevertheless...

She believes in me.

Do you know how that feels?

and a few of you out there, who I have befriended...

I feel like you, also, perhaps, believe in me.

How does that feel to me?

Like a baptism of August rain.

I believe in you, too.

How does that feel?
