Rue
Even one step a year is better
Than a lifetime of stagnacy
Nothing worse than regret
That makes you feel death
Of a past you can not change
Now at age sixty
Wishing you had made
That one step of hope
Thinking about where
It would have landed you on
But now you are here
Looking around with a tear
That drops like a domb
From a window that chooses
Not to see Dawn.
Than a lifetime of stagnacy
Nothing worse than regret
That makes you feel death
Of a past you can not change
Now at age sixty
Wishing you had made
That one step of hope
Thinking about where
It would have landed you on
But now you are here
Looking around with a tear
That drops like a domb
From a window that chooses
Not to see Dawn.
