Dearest, K my musical compadre 😍
 I am truly touched by this piece. It gives voice to some of my long-held feelings about this place and the friendas that I've made here on DUP. Oh how I identify with this brilliant and beautifully written pasage,
"It’s not a tryst or a love affair
Humanity’s burden just needs to be shared"
And this passage perfectly describes our friendship,
"Opening hearts to open the doors
Sing my song, and I’ll sing yours"

Aw, my heart is warmed, that you related to this... Of course you get it. 😊  I have to be careful how I talk of my "online friends" to people from the real world... they think I'm crazy! (And I am, a little bit - but thanks to the souls out there in the ether-realms, I can cope.)

Everyone already took the good words. Dang it! You’re so right about the muses here online. Some days it’s the only sane place to be because reality is too harsh and ether-friends get it and stand behind us as a support structure getting us to the next moment.
So very grateful I can count you as one of my dear muses. H🌷

Don’t get me wrong, I’ve had some experiences here that make me want to never touch the internet again. However on the flip side, I’ve gained lifelong friends here. And my twin. And I can’t be mad at the place for that.  

This poem highlights for me the crux of the place for me too — we come here to share a little of ourselves with others. To heal, and be healed, even if we don’t realise it at the time.  

“ We’re fighting battles and losing wars  
Sending support from distant shores  
Opening hearts to open the doors  
Sing my song, and I’ll sing yours”

Sharing myself, in order to get to others, is kinda my jam, and it's really hard to do in the hard, "strong", real world. I need these safe places as much as air these days. I know I haven't been writing a whole lot, but I'm still here, and I'm glad you're part of it.

(And just a nudge... Bandlab is another awesome place of connection that doesn't seem to have any of the discord some people experience here. I do hope you can join me over there sometime! I feel so lucky to have two awesome creative communities of support now... and yeah, maybe even a twin. What a gift.)
