scent of jasmine blows in
from outside the bedroom window
a kitten sits and licks her paws
oil burns
upon the night stand
eyes close to touch
fires igniting everywhere
lips crave upon lips
lost
in a new found
atmosphere
bodies breathe
entwined in a love affair
heartbeats heighten
trapped in the avidity of it all
midnight waits
engulfed in her attention
stroking a softened trill
rainfall washes in the distance
mixing with excitement
and gentle purrs
